The Enormous Elephant Run

Saturday, March 10th may have been a rainy day in Los Angeles, but it was the perfect setting for the Enormous Elephant Run through Griffith Park. More than a thousand animal-loving athletes decked out in costumes stampeded through a 5K to raise critical funds for our partner The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.

The star-studded event, with Kristin Davis and Maria Menounos in attendance supporting the cause, raised over $100,000 for elephant protection projects in Kenya. We spent the day making friends like Molly Jackson, the winner of our print giveaway (DSWT Series, “\Understanding”) and giving away all our new t-shirts! Render Loyalty founder KT Merry captured the sentiment of the day:

"It was amazing to see so many people from Los Angeles and elsewhere gather together on a drizzly Saturday to support elephants. Over 1,100 people registered for the race and it was incredible to be a part of such a wonderful event. We feel so honored to be partnered with the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and to support the incredible work they do and awareness they raise. We only look forward to more collaboration, more events and more support in the future."

Were you able to make it to the run? What was your favorite part? If you weren’t lucky enough to experience it in person, hopefully you can make it to the next Enormous Elephant Run event in London on June 16th. If you can’t attend the event in person, you can always support the great work of the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust by purchasing a print from our collection.
