Since 1977, the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust has set the global standard for conservation and wildlife protection. Still chaired and run by the descendants of wildlife experts Daphne and David Sheldrick, the dedicated team of wildlife experts have hand-raised and successfully integrated almost 200 orphan elephants back into the wild.
Beyond their powerful Orphans’ Project, DSWT has worked diligently to ensure the longevity of its impact through a variety of conservation and community initiatives. Efforts such as aerial surveillance and mobile veterinary units work in conjunction with the Kenyan Wildlife Service, encouraging cooperation and promoting autonomy with the local families and farmers. The Trust also hosts programs for Kenyan school children and community members, educating and enlisting their support as the next generation of wildlife conservationists.
Please join us in celebrating the forty-year legacy of inspiring work by our partners at The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. Their commitment to the conservation of Kenya’s most vulnerable species and the education of its community members has empowered the local wildlife and people to thrive. We are honored and privileged to play even a small part in their work, now and for decades to come.
